nora systems receives PEFC certificate

Weinheim, July 2023 – nora systems, part of the international flooring manufacturer Interface, has been awarded the PEFC certificate since 8 February 2023. This means that the company can prove that the natural rubber it uses in many of its products as a core component comes from ecologically, economically and socially sustainably managed rubber plantations. nora is thus the first manufacturer of rubber floor coverings whose products are verifiably PEFC certified.*

"Our drive is to source all raw materials from sustainable sources and to know exactly where they come from and how they are produced. In this way, we not only satisfy our own demands, but also meet today's customer requirements," says Rob Heeres, Vice President Supply Chain and Managing Director of nora systems GmbH. "By using PEFC certified natural rubber, we make an active contribution to plantation protection. We only use natural rubber for our products, which is demonstrably harvested under humane working conditions and guaranteed to come from sustainable forestry. This is confirmed by the PEFC certification, which we have recently joined," concludes Heeres.
