Although the initial plan called for vinyl composite tile, Banner officials worked hard to change those specifications to nora. Familiar with the maintenance, acoustic, comfort and IAQ benefits that rubber provided in other Banner facilities, the staff was confident that nora would be a great choice for the Cardon facility. Thanks to its low-maintenance requirements and the absence of floor finishing, nora flooring has helped the environmental services team save time, improved IAQ and provided a more comfortable patient experience, helping children recover with the comforts of home.

Every patient floor in the 464,000-square-foot, seven-story facility includes a play room, nourishment center, toy closet, age-appropriate artwork, laundry room and quiet room for parents. It is the centerpiece of a $356 million expansion project on the Banner Desert Medical Center campus.
