Welcome to our nora Career Portal. We at nora systems GmbH (herein after referred to as “nora”) are pleased about your interest in working for our company.
 
Since an application process is always associated with the transfer of personal information and we attach great importance to the confidential handling and protection of this information, we would like to inform you about the collection, processing and use of your personal information in accordance with the relevant data protection regulations when you visit nora’s Career Portal.
 
In order to register with our nora Career Portal and submit a candidate profile or an online application, you must agree to the following conditions. Therefore, please read the following information carefully before submitting data or other information to us.

General information

The following data privacy policy governs the specifics of nora’s Career Portal.
 
Insofar as personal data is transmitted to affiliates outside your home country with your explicit consent, the country-specific data protection provisions found on the corresponding websites of the affiliated companies also apply.


1. What is the purpose of data collection, processing and use?

The sole purpose of collecting, processing and using your data on nora’s Career Portal is to process your application and ensure the best possible staffing and selection of applicants. Your data will therefore be collected, processed and used for this purpose alone. Your consent constitutes the legal basis for processing said data.
 
If an employment contract is concluded on the basis of your application, your data may be processed and used in compliance with the relevant statutory provisions.
 
You of course always have the right to withdraw your application.

 

2. Which data is collected, processed or used?

By registering on nora’s Career Portal or sending your application documents, you voluntarily provide nora with your personal information and expressly consent to the collection, processing and use of information in accordance with the relevant laws and this data privacy policy, as well as nora's general data protection provisions (https://www.nora.com/global/en/data-protection).
 
nora only collects data that is required for the application process and the selection of applicants and which is legally permissible.

When you register on nora’s Career Portal, nora may collect your IP address, first name, last name, date of birth, address, telephone number or e-mail address, as well as use cookies and other internet technologies, as described in nora’s privacy policy (https://www.nora.com/global/en/data-protection), to gather general information about you.

We use “cookies” in order to extend our website’s range of functions and make it easier, more effective and safer for you to use. These “cookies” are used to store data on your computer when you access nora’s Career Portal. You can prevent the storage of cookies on your computer by altering the relevant settings of your browser. However, doing so could limit your usage of nora’s Career Portal.


3. Who is responsible for data processing at nora?

The HR department at nora systems GmbH, Höhnerweg 2-4, DE-69469 Weinheim, Germany, is responsible for data collection, data processing and data usage in connection with nora’s Career Portal.

 

4. Who has access to your data?

The information you provide to us through your application shall be kept confidential at all times and only disclosed to those responsible for filling the respective position (representatives from the HR and specialist department).
 
You hereby acknowledge that as a global company, nora operates in different countries with a common administration, using different systems to exchange information for a standardized personnel search. nora may process the personal data manually or automatically via authorized nora employees and/or other authorized third parties. nora has internal policies ensuring the same security standard at nora worldwide in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Any third party processing your personal data on behalf of nora is obliged to maintain confidentiality and apply the same strict security measures as nora.

Your personal data may be stored and processed by nora as well as disclosed to members of nora subsidiaries worldwide as part of searching for personnel and contacting them in the event of open positions.


5. Data security

nora takes precautions to ensure the greatest possible protection of your data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, modification and deletion, and has a state-of-the-art data security concept for this purpose.
 
We use SSL encryption to ensure the confidentiality of communication with you.
 

6. Storage of the data

The data is always encrypted and stored only on servers in the European Union.
 
Your application data will be deleted no earlier than 6 months after completion of the application process and data from your candidate profile no earlier than 24 months after the last transaction. If you submit a new application, the storage period starts over. Once the retention period expires, we will delete your personal data and keep only anonymous data for reporting/statistical purposes.

You can always delete your data from the system yourself or have it deleted by the person responsible (see Section 8 of the data privacy policy), if no longer storage period is stipulated by law or necessary for the presentation of evidence, or if you have consented to a longer storage period, e.g. as part of a subsequent employment relationship. 


7. Data accuracy

You are solely responsible for the content of your data sent to us. By submitting your application or creating your profile, you ensure that the data and information provided by you is true, correct, complete and free of any malware. It is your responsibility to ensure that the data (including any attachments) is up-to-date and does not violate any legal provisions. The data must not be misleading or deceptive nor violate the rights of third parties or morale standards.


8. Right to view, edit, modify or delete personal data

You are entitled to view your data, have it deleted in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, refuse the processing of your data or correct incorrect data at any time.
 
You can check, edit or delete your candidate profile yourself for this purpose. By deleting your data, you automatically withdraw your application.
 
During an ongoing selection process, any changes to data can no longer be taken into account for legal reasons.

If your personal information is incorrect, you have the right to correct, delete or block it, if it is no longer needed. You also have the right to view the personal data collected. You can exercise these rights by contacting our external data protection officer directly.

9. Right of complaint

If you believe that your rights have been violated with the collection, processing or use of your personal data on nora’s Career Portal, you can contact the relevant data protection supervisory authority in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

 

10. Disruptions or changes to the e-recruiting system and data loss

nora cannot guarantee continuous or trouble-free availability of its Career Portal. nora reserves the right to delete data at any time without giving reasons and to modify or discontinue its Career Portal. nora excludes any liability for deleted data or data loss.


11. Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files placed on your computer to help the website analyze your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to and truncated by Google servers in the USA. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for website operators and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. 12. LinkedIn

nora’s Career Portal uses links to the social network LinkedIn. If you click on the “Apply with LinkedIn” link, personal information such as company or position is transmitted from your LinkedIn profile to nora’s Career Portal. You can correct or delete the transmitted data at any time. Changing or deleting data on nora’s Career Portal will not affect your LinkedIn profile in any way.


13. Disclaimer of liability

nora assumes no liability for the correctness or accuracy of the information contained in its Career Portal and exemption from any third-party intellectual property rights or copyrights.
Incidentally, any liability of nora is excluded, expect in cases of mandatory legal liability, such as for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health of a person.
To the extent permitted by law, this data privacy policy and all claims made on the basis of it are governed by German law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising under this privacy policy is Weinheim.


14. Changes to this data privacy policy

We reserve the right to adapt this data privacy policy to technical and legal requirements at any time.
